What is your position at Ferrycarrig & what does it involve?
I am currently a Graduate Engineer working as part of the Graduate Program at Ferrycarrig. As part of my day-to-day activities, I work closely with foremen and senior engineers to solve problems on the construction site. I manage quality assurance and various documentation, and I assist our foremen in making sure site activities run smoothly with no incidents. While the work is very challenging, I find it to be a very rewarding experience!
How long have you been working with Ferrycarrig?

What project are you currently working on?
I am working on an exciting project located at the industrial park in Rosehill involving the installation of approximately 1 kilometre of high voltage cables. Some of the project highlights and challenges include a 200-metre bore constructed through horizontal directional drilling, navigating the complex processes involved in construction at the prestigious Rosehill Racecourse and 800-metres of open-cut trench.

At Ferrycarrig, I have also worked on the Parramatta Light Rail. These works include relocation of utilities, preliminary works involved in the new bridge crossing James Ruse Drive and various civil works. I have also been involved in a Sydney Water and Confluence Water joint venture project. One section of the project will be constructed in the Royal National Park which will involve bringing material in and out with a helicopter!
